Not left.
Not right.
United.
We are not left. We are not right. We are United Americans.
The two-party monopoly has delivered the same result for decades: more corporate influence, more insider trading, and less accountability. We're done waiting.
"The two-party monopoly has delivered the same result for decades: more corporate influence, more insider trading, and less accountability. The United American Party is not a vanity project — it is a citizens' rebellion."— Travis Lium, Founder, United American Party
The Platform
United American Principles
A living document — built by citizens, for citizens. These are not talking points. They are demands. Every candidate who runs under this banner must commit to all nine or find another party.
Principle 01
Constitutional Accountability
Our founding document is the bedrock of American freedom — not a suggestion, not a talking point, not a tool for partisan convenience. We are dedicated to holding every branch of government fully accountable to the U.S. Constitution: the executive, legislative, and judicial alike. No carve-outs. No exceptions. No excuses.
Principle 02
End Corporate Lobbying
The influence of corporate money and professional lobbyists has corrupted our political process for far too long. Lawmakers who are supposed to represent working Americans instead represent the highest bidders. We will work to eliminate the undue influence of special interests and dark money from all levels of government — ensuring that every American has an equal voice, not just the wealthy and well-connected.
Principle 03
Term Limits
No one should hold political power for too long. Career politicians who have spent decades in office are no longer public servants — they are an entrenched class insulated from accountability. We will institute term limits for all elected officials. Democracy thrives when fresh perspectives and genuine public service replace the stagnation of career politics. The people — not incumbents — decide the length.
Principle 04
Restore the Fairness in Media Act
A well-informed electorate is the cornerstone of democracy. Corporate consolidation, algorithmic echo chambers, and the 1987 repeal of the Fairness Doctrine have allowed disinformation and propaganda to dominate our airwaves and digital spaces. We will fight to restore a modernized framework requiring broadcasters and major platforms to present controversial issues honestly, balanced, and representative of diverse viewpoints.
Principle 05
Overturn Citizens United
The Supreme Court's decision in Citizens United has allowed corporate money to flood our elections, distorting the will of the people. We will fight to overturn this decision and restore the integrity of our democratic process. Money is not speech. Corporations are not people.
Principle 06
Restore Our Constitutional Rights
Every right guaranteed by the Constitution will be protected and expanded — not eroded by political convenience, judicial overreach, or legislative neglect. Every American deserves the freedom and equality promised in our founding documents, regardless of where they live, what they look like, or what party they belong to. That means the entire Bill of Rights — every time, no exceptions.
Principle 07
End Party Domination
The current two-party system has failed the American people. The duopoly preserves itself through rigged ballot access laws, closed primaries, and debate exclusions designed to shut out competition and stifle real reform. We stand for open debates, fair ballot access, and ranked-choice options that give voters a genuine choice. A government truly of, by, and for the people cannot be owned by just two parties.
Principle 08
Comprehensive Tax Reform
Our tax system is rigged — built over decades by and for the wealthy, special interests, and corporations. While working families and small businesses pay their fair share, the ultra-rich exploit endless loopholes. We will fight for a fair, simplified, and transparent tax system where everyone contributes equitably. Middle-class Americans should not carry the burden of a system designed in favor of the elite.
Principle 09
Ban Stock & Crypto Trading for Officials
Public office is a public trust — not a personal trading floor. We will enact a comprehensive ban on ownership and trading of individual stocks, cryptocurrencies, and speculative assets for the President, Vice President, Cabinet members, all members of Congress, federal judges, Supreme Court justices, senior staff, and their spouses and dependent children. On Day 1 in office, all such holdings must be fully divested or forfeited to the U.S. Treasury. No blind trusts. No grace periods. No exceptions.
Why We Exist
For every American who gave up on politics — don't.
We didn't start this party because it was easy. We started it because we looked at a two-year-old child and couldn't justify handing him a country owned by corporations, lobbyists, and a political class that answers only to its donors.
The United American Party is not aligned with the left or the right. We are aligned with the Constitution, with working families, and with the idea that accountability is not optional.
We deliberately differentiate ourselves from billionaire-backed vanity projects. This movement is funded by people, not plutocrats.
"We are not left. We are not right. We are United Americans — and we are done waiting for the two parties to fix the problems they created."— United American Party Founding Charter, January 20, 2025
